Student Health Advisory Council

SHAC UNO Student Health Advisory Council was founded in the spring of 2000. The purpose of SHAC is to allow UNO students the opportunity to promote healthy lifestyle choices on campus. It is a way for students to have a voice in programming and promoting awareness of health-related issues that are relevant to the student body.

In the short time that SHAC has been existing, a handful of highly energetic and dedicated students drafted the SHAC constitution, developed a logo, organized a series of activities promoting Collegiate Health and Wellness, organized and participated in National College Alcohol Screening Day, and supported the Health Web Contest.

Joining SHAC is a great way to meet new people with a common interest and gain new planning and leadership skills. SHAC has open membership for anyone who is currently enrolled at UNO and has some general interest in health and wellness issues. There is NO membership fee.

If you are interested in becoming a part of this dynamic group of students...
