To reduce waiting time for non-urgent problems, students should call for an appointment.
If students are unable to keep their appointment, a phone call should be made and their appointment should be cancelled. The space could be given to
another student, as spaces are limited.
It is helpful to remember that UNO Student Health Services has only one physician at any given time. This means the scheduled time may be backed up for an emergency.
During the times a physician or nurse practicioner is not available, a nurse will evaluate the student. A nurse will either provide the care or arrangements will be made
for the student to see a physician or nurse practitioner at a time determined by the urgency of both the student's condition and the condition of other patients requiring treatment.
